Meet the team

Student Legal Advice Centre (SLAC) is an organisation founded and run

by students, for students.

Georgios Palassis

Georgios is in his final year of studying the Juris Doctor and has previously obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UWA. He is currently a paralegal at a dispute resolution firm, and he has undertaken clerkships at international commercial law firms. Georgios is also the 2023 Education VP of the Blackstone Society, the UWA law students’ society.

Operations Officer

Tim Hebbard

Tim is a final year Juris Doctor student at UWA. In 2023, Tim became the Blackstone Society's inaugural Access Officer.

SLAC relies on a dedicated team of student volunteers who work to facilitate client intake and triage, conduct legal research and provide useful and meaningful referrals for further legal and non-legal assistance.

We seek volunteers who have a demonstrated interest in social justice issues and are able to make a regular commitment.
